Oh brother, making this forum open to ANY topics is not a good idea when I can respond. Other than Paula no one has posted anything so I will.

My topic is an accessory to the automobile that enables other drivers to know when your turning. It's correct name is directional signal indicator but we refer to it as the blinker. I know all cars built after the fouties have them but I always find the one vehicle that doesn't seem have one or it isn't working. Or maybe the driver isn't aware of how to enable it to work. Simple intsructions, right turn the indicator actuating arm goes up, left turn the indicator actuating arm goes down. In the event your directional signal indicator is not in proper repair you have the option of using hand signals. The hand signals are also simple, right turn the driver lowers their window and put's their arm out and point the hand upward. For a left turn the driver the driver lowers their window and put's their arm straight out.

OPTIONAL; In the event your vehicle has been involved in a crash to the rear you can indicate your applying your breaks by lowering the drivers side window and put your arm out it while pointing your hand in a downward motion.

None of these hand signals will function without the drivers side window being lowered and the drivers hand in plain view of the person being signaled. Anyone who cannot operate the directional signal indicator or perform the proper hand signal will be given a signal from the driver of the vehicle that is following them. This signal is also simple, the driver of the following vehicle will lower the drivers side window and extend their arm out fully with the hand pointing up ward. Once the hand is pointing upward the driver will extend their middle fingerin a upward direction and either hold it steady or shake it depending on how angered theiy are. It is up to the driver of the lead vehicle todecide if the driver of the following vehicle is actually angry or just indicating the driver of the lead vehicle is number one.

Well boys and girls that is my topic and has no bearings on the reunion or school. It did say any topic and I am just weird enough to reply to that.

Hello Mead People,

Here we all are..........working every day keeping up with all the techi tools thrown at us all on a daily basis.  I chuckle just a bit as I write this hoping I am doing it correctly in the event absolutely no one see's it.  I would not be a bit surprised, as I'm not exactly a fab girl at techi stuff but I still love giving it the all American Mead High School try!  I just signed up and got my tickets to the reunion.  Can't wait!  I think I have had at least 3 life times since graduation and at least that many new faces!  (No....not face lifts.....I'm talking clothes and hair!  LOL!)  I love seeing all the old pics many of you have posted of our high school days so please keep posting them!  I don't have any that I can put my hands on but I am still looking.  If I come across any I will definitely post!  I currently live in the Seattle area and have been fortunate to have stayed in touch with my highschool pal Laura Miller (Squire).  Laura was always the social butterfly in HS and keeps me posted to the updates on all our graduates.  I have reconnected with many of you on FB this last year and that's been great!!!!  Totally love the updates and seeing pics of your families and adventures.  Life has been good to me and I did exactly what I wanted since graduation........I travelled for a living and spent 25 years in the houseware industry and was on a plane on average 45 weeks a year.  I loved it!  I never married ........darn......but have seen so many wonderful things and have no regrets!  I buy my lottery ticket every week.......I'm certain I will win......and have a fantastic relationship with my Mom and family.  I have no complaints or I guess I could but whats the point right?  LOL!   I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!  Sending many happy thoughts to all my classmates!

Tracy!

Mickey, it will be so great to see you and Chris! This time you get to just enjoy yourselves since you practically single-handedly planned the 30. Those of us working on this one appreciate that effort even more, now!! See you in August!

Hi You'all!!

We're so blessed to have so many of you taking care of details for a great reunion!! A sincere thanks to all donating precious time & energy!

Quick question as I was going to buy our tickets today.....

Any GF Gluten Free options to the meal?? Shall I call the caterer (who is it?) to ask if there's any hidden gluten in the BBQ sauce and any of the sides? It's not always as obvious as 'skip the bun'.

Also, any chance there could be a few pies made that are GF? I seriously doubt I'm the only one that has to avoid this. Note, I am not celiac so it's not deathly but I have a sensitivity to Gluten so have avoided it for almost 2 years and don't want any surprises. I don't need a special meal just need to know what's safe to eat.   Thanks!!

The caterer is Long Horn BBQ and I cannot answer your other questions.

Hi Wendy, I don't think anyone thought to ask Longhorn about this, although there may be a vegetarian option. Kelly Hooper Wilcox is our catering contact so when she gets back from vacation, she can check. I think you should buy your tickets anyway, and if there is gluten, then we will figure something out beforehand for you at my house! Love, Nance

Actually Nancy and Wendy this was addressed and it was decided since we didn't have a full restaurant or hospital available it would be a vegan meal would be offered if needed along with traditional menu and any other dietary restrictions would be up to the individual to handle personally. This ensures that no misunderstandings occur on diet issues and keeps menu simple and within price range. I am sure Wendy that the Longhorn manager would be delighted to answer your exact questions per your gluten restrictions. Hopefully they are within your restrictions and you can enjoy without hesitation with everyone else! Looking forward to a fun fun day with you!
